Well done to Laura for securing our first sponsor - The Riding Stock Market! The team are going to look great in these new stocks! Let's hope they bring us lots of luck this coming year.
#purpleandproud Hi Everyone!
This Easter a group of UMEC members went to the Netherlands for a riding holiday! We spent the night in Amsterdam before travelling to Alkmaar, where we spent the rest of the week riding at a wonderful yard called Duinmanege van Poelenburgh. Check out this amazing video to see what we got up to - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uoFSeCUJmCk&feature=em-upload_owner We can't wait for next years trips and are looking forward to seeing many new and returning members sign up for the University of Manchester Equestrian Club this year! Hi there!
This summer I returned to the Netherlands with Mireille (our trips sec for this year), where we got to have a lovely dressage lesson one day and a hack and gallop through the dunes and along the beach! It was so much fun but we obviously missed the rest of our fellow #umecontour goers from our Easter trip! Here we are, shown below (I’m the one on the palomino for those who don’t know me!). I was also fortunate enough to go to a show jumpers’ yard in Spain, where I had an incredible jumping lesson that really pushed me as a rider and I can’t wait to do some more jumping at uni! Unfortunately, I do not have my own horse so my days riding back home are very limited… I continue to try to ‘steal’ my friends horses when I can :P Hi! It's been a really busy summer of work this one, but I've always managed to find time to ride. I go every week on a Wednesday to JSE where I've been riding Bruno in jump clinics, he's a great jumper and a bit of a softy! I have a great time every week, even if there is the odd tumble off! I look forward to meeting you all in September when you can join in the fun, thanks Dean
